Carlo Colombo designed ISØLA by reinterpreting a historic kitchen produced by Rossana, making it the utmost evolution of the kitchen as the center of the domestic space. It was a project developed as a high-end product with transversal uses and functions. A model expressed in the form of a monobloc with architectural geometries, close to the idea of furniture thanks to the materials chosen. An open kitchen ready to engage in a dialogue with the surrounding space, revealed through clearly defined forms and strongly marked features, designed to fit into any environment. A journey through five places where the project takes shape and recounts Rossana’s style through beauty and its material contents.
